Answered by Shaykh Muhammad Carr

Question

How can I purify my newly assembled bed, made of unpolished wood, after potential contact with impurity from the builder touching the toilet door handle and light switch? I suffer from severe OCD and struggle with cleanliness due to low iman.

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful and Compassionate.

I pray you are in good faith and health. Thank you for your question, which is a sign of your deep faith (iman) and fear of Allah Most High.

Rest assured that impurities do not surround you. In light of the above facts,  the door handle, light switch, and bed slates are all ritually pure and free of ritual impurities.
