How Can I Assess If I Am Suffering from a Chronic Excuse?
Hanafi Fiqh
Answered by Ustadh Sufyan Qufi
Question
I struggle with minor hemorrhoids, occasional anal bleeding, and difficulty controlling small amounts of gas. After bowel movements, I often find minor blood or discharge but rarely on my clothes. I make wudu before every prayer to ensure validity. Does my condition constitute incontinence requiring wudu for each salah, or am I adding unnecessary difficulty?
Answer
In the name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, Most Merciful,
I pray this finds you in the best of states.
This is how you have to assess whether or not your condition grants you the status of an excused person:
If an entire prayer time passes with your bleeding present such that you did not have enough time to perform a minimal wudu and pray a quick prayer then you become excused and are allowed to follow the dispensations granted to people suffering from chronic excuses. [Shurunbulali, Nur al-Idah]

And Allah knows best.
