Question

How Do I Talk to Allah about My Life, Worries, and Feelings?

Answer

Thank you for your question. Talking to Allah is very easy, one just has to be willing and know that He is listening.

Call upon Him

Allah Most High said in the Quran,“ Your Lord has proclaimed, “Call upon Me, I will respond to you. Surely those who are too proud to worship Me will enter Hell, fully humbled.” [Quran, 40:60]

All you have to do is raise your hands and speak. There are many etiquettes around the art of supplication, and you should do the best you can. Praise Him, praise the Prophet, thank Him, ask for forgiveness, and just speak from your heart; verily, He knows you better than you know yourself, and He knows what you want and what you need, and when you need it. Submit yourself completely to His eternal knowledge and will, and know that you emulating the prophets, who only complained to their Lord and not to people.
