Can I Make Dua for More Space Between My Eyes or Is It Transgression?

Is it permissible to make dua for changes in physical features, like eye spacing or nose shape, or is that considered transgressing in prayer?
Answer
Thank you for your question. Yes, you can make such a dua, and it is not transgression.
Dua
You must accompany it by asking Allah Most High for light (nur) and beautifying your inward. I cannot tell you if Allah will answer your supplication by spacing out your eyes more or not; it is up to Him, Most Exalted is He. Please spend less time looking in the mirror and more time looking at other believers, for they are a mirror of yourself and then you will truly know what to make more dua for.
Please say this prophetic dua when you look in the mirror:
اللَّهُمَّ أَحْسَنْتَ خَلْقِي فَأَحْسِنْ خُلُقِي
“O Allah, You have made my creation beautiful; thus make my character beautiful.” [Ibn Hibban]
اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ لِي نُورًا فِي قَلْبِي، وَاجْعَلْ لِي نُورًا فِي سَمْعِي، وَاجْعَلْ لِي نُورًا فِي بَصَرِي، وَاجْعَلْ لِي نُورًا عَنْ يَمِينِي، وَنُورًا عَنْ شِمَالِي، وَاجْعَلْ لِي نُورًا مِنْ بَيْنَ يَدَيَّ، وَنُورًا مِنْ خَلْفِي، وَزِدْنِي نُورًا، وَزِدْنِي نُورًا، وَزِدْنِي نُورًا.
“O Allah, give me a light in my heart and give me a light in my hearing and give me a light in my sight. Give me a light on my right and a light on my left and give me a light in front of me and a light behind me and increase me in light. Increase me in light, and increase me in light.” [Adab al-Mufrad]
