Is it permissible to use products inspired by the Dead Sea if they are not directly sourced from it?

It is permissible to use products inspired by the Dead Sea, provided they are not directly sourced from it. Scholars state that using water or salt from the Dead Sea is disliked but may be allowed for medical purposes when no alternative options are available. [Ibn ’Abidin, Radd al-Muhtar]
