Helping others plagiarize

Question: Is it permissible to write academic works that one knows students use for plagiarism?

Answer:

Wa alaykum assalam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,

Dear questioner,

Thank you for your important question.

Writing academic works that one knows students use for plagiarism is forbidden. That said, the money one has previously earned from it is one’s own (i.e. halal).

One may only assist others to write their papers etc., and not simply write them for them.

‘And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression. And fear Allah; indeed, Allah is severe in penalty.’ (Qur’an, 5: 2)

I pray this helps.
