Question

What Can I Do If My Mother Has Taken Our Father’s Inheritance Without Any Distribution?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful and Compassionate

I pray you are in good faith and health. Thank you for your question. I am sorry to hear about your situation in this way.

This is a very sensitive and challenging situation for anyone, especially wrongdoing committed by a mother and for a third party to solve and find a solution. I can only say that you will need to find an on-the-ground reliable local scholar whom your mother would listen to. This way, he can act as a mediator and advisor; maybe your mother might listen.

Another suggestion, as she is your mother, is that instead of demanding your full rights, forgive her for some portion and request what you need or what she can give. Maybe she might give you your and other siblings’ full due or come to a compromised solution.

Pray to Allah Most High for guidance and direction, and once again, continue to speak to your mother with respect, love, and wisdom about the matter.

I would like you to go through the valuable answers and links below. You will receive guidance and direction in sha Allah.
