Can The Following Vows Cause Marriage in Janna?
Answered by Mawlana Ilyas Patel
Question
Can marriage occur if someone says that black magic will cause marriage with a person in Janna or Jannat al-Firdaus? What if they make it a consequence of a vow, then will marriage occur in Janna or Jannat al-Firdaus?
What if they make this same vow towards any Prophet, will marriage occur in Janna or Jannat al-Firdaus?
What if someone makes the consequence of breaking a vow that black magic will cause their marriage to a person in Janna or Jannat al-Firdaus, and they say there is no going back, can this cause marriage?
If someone makes the consequence of a vow that black magic will cause marriage with jinns in hell, will that occur?
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful and Compassionate
I pray you are in good faith and health. Thank you for your question.
In all of the above scenarios, marriage will not take place with anyone. These are just obtrusive thoughts you are having. One can hope and wish to be married to any of the residents of Janna, be it a prophet, companion, or righteous. You will be pleased and honored upon entry into Janna, and you will not feel any regret or any kind of negative emotion while in it, just pure joy and fulfillment of one’s desires.
Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) said, “Allah said: ‘I have prepared for My righteous servants what no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human heart has conceived. Recite the verse if you wish: No soul knows what has been hidden for them of comfort.’” [Bukhari; Muslim]
