How Should I Clean Madhy (Pre-Ejaculatory Fluid)?
Shafi'i Fiqh

Question
I have a medical condition causing uncontrollable release of madhy and possibly wady, making it difficult to keep my clothes clean. I have encountered differing scholarly views on how to purify these stains. One scholar says to wash the clothes three times, while another says pouring a small amount of water over the stain until it looks clean is enough. How can I be sure it is truly clean, and does this same rule apply to both fluids?
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful and Compassionate.
May Allah alleviate our difficulties and guide us to what pleases Him. Amin.
Your description needs clarification, including which substance/secretion you are enquiring about. There are three possibilities: Mani (sperm, which is pure), Madhy (pre-ejaculatory fluid), or Wadi (non-sexual discharge).
Clarifying the Three Substances
Madhy and Wadi are filth (najasa) and should be cleaned by removing the visible substance and washing the area with clean water. This may be done with any amount of water that sufficiently removes the color and smell, as you are not obliged to clean at the microscopic level.
Mani (sperm) is pure, and any form of removal is sufficient, and Allah knows best. [Nawawi, Majmu‘]
And Allah knows best.
