As an Excused Person, Is My Fajr Prayer Valid If I Started with Wudu and Ended It After Its Time?
Hanafi Fiqh
Answered by Mawlana Ilyas Patel
Question
As a ma‘dhur, is my Fajr prayer valid if I started with wudu before the time ended, but passed wind after the time expired while still praying?
Answer
In the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful and Compassionate
I pray you are in good faith and health. Thank you for your question.
It is obligatory to begin and end each obligatory prayer within its time. As your Fajr prayer ended after the expiry of the time, your prayer is invalidated. You will now repeat it.
